Settlement Specialist (Assistant Manager Level)

Job Description:

  • To response for overall assigned job functions according to unit procedures.
  • Coordinate with other functions to support daily routine work and new projects.
  • Be back up manager, staff in some work areas.
  • Inform the amount of incoming Visa, Mastercard, JCB and BAY Cardlink in each day to Treasury team to reserve the money
  • Consolidate income and expense transactions (Visa, Mastercard) the relate to SBT, VAT & TAX for all products and send to TAX team.
  • Coordinate with related functions to solve daily work issues, join improvement / enhancement projects and also in UAT projects
  • Prepare data of incoming transactions of Visa at the end of quarter for credit card and send to BAY for submit to Visa.
  • Prepare data of incoming transactions of Mastercard at the end of quarter for credit card and submit via Mastercard Connect.
  • Be back up manager, staff and Supervise staffs for all settlement tasks
  • Daily reconcile settlement process for Visa / Mastercard for all entities against Vision Plus/Trams, and send to Accounting team to upload in Oracle System on monthly basis 
  • Review the journal voucher of Visa, Mastercard, BAY Cardlink, Utility before send to Accounting team to upload Oracle Program.
  • Separate and recheck the fees from Visa / Mastercard for all entities and send to related functions
  • Consolidate Visa / Mastercard recovered card report, and send to Fraud team
  • Consolidate Visa’s Fax and CRB fee report, and send to Authorization team
  • Update and reconcile all chargeback transactions with action code ADJR, ADJC, RLWA against General Ledger of accounting
  • Review monthly reconciliation of settlement suspense accounts and chargeback accounts for all products.
  • Multi-tasks assigned at the same time, prioritization is key.
  • Multi-skills and work knowledge required to accomplish routine responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance / Business Administration
  • 5 years or above in relevant knowledge in Bankcard business and card operations.
  • 3 years or above of work experience in Settlement function or related field.
  • Minimum 1-3 years in team leader role.
  • Must be logical / able to understand Settlement Logic
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Good in English 
  • Able to understand Tax & SBT
  • Be able to work under pressure and with timeline
  • Must have team-player mindset
